What is EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique?

EFT is a type of psychological acupressure wherein a person releases the negative emotional charge they carry in their bodies by tapping on Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian points while repeating affirmations.

Where did it come from?

EFT was created by Gary Craig who was taught by Dr. Callahan. EFT is an off shoot of the original technique created by Dr. Callahan called Thought Field Therapy or TFT. In TFT, each psychological issue that is addressed has a specific algorithm or tapping sequence that is complex. Gary Craig decided to simplify the process by tapping all of the available points for every issue. With this new approach, success rates for clearing up troublesome emotions was extremely high (80% - 85%).

The Key to Success with EFT

I have found that the key to success with EFT is correctly identifying the core issues that are at the causal root of the problem. At times this can take a bit of digging but the effort is always worth it. When you are able to flush or release all of your angst about a sensitive topic that has plagued you most of your life, you change your entire interaction with life from that point forward.

Clearing serious issues can be life changing and transformative to say the least. One of the most amazing things about EFT is that it can heal phobias. On Gary's instructional videos, you can witness people being cured of their fear of heights, fear of water, fear of snakes and so on in 10, 15, 30 minutes or an hour!
